Milestones of our company history
1928
Mr Hugo Fassbender founds HUFA, which initially focuses on the development and production of stuffing boxes, seals and sealing rings for the shipping and steam engine construction industries.
1958
The production of metallic seals is expanded. The series production of flat seals according to DIN 7603 begins.
1978
The Weinheim-based Freudenberg Group takes over HUFA and develops it into an important strategic component of Technischer Handel Freudenberg GmbH. The company becomes a leading supplier for the automotive sector, the hydraulics and pneumatics industry and the mechanical and plant engineering sector, as well as the general technical trade.
1998
HUFA is integrated into the Meillor Group of Freudenberg Dichtungs- und Schwingungstechnik as a 100% subsidiary and now primarily produces seals for automotive applications.
2006
HUFA becomes independent as a result of the sale to the family-run Krupke Holding GmbH, which is based in Billerbeck. This is followed by the construction of a completely new production and warehouse facility and investments in production machinery at the Burscheid location. The sealing advice for the automotive sector is set up and expanded.
2008
HUFA moves into a newly constructed production and office building. The production capacities are increased as a result of the optimisation of the production flow and investments in the manufacturing technology. The operational flexibility for specific customer requirements is also increased.
Further investments in quality assurance allow the zero-defect philosophy to be realised. Additional storage capacities and improved infrastructures make a faster delivery speed possible.
2016
HUFA is certified according to ISO TS 16949.
2018
HUFA celebrates 90 years of sealing experience.
