A bonded seal is a combination of a metal flat ring and a vulcanised rubber sealing pad, which is used in places where it is not generally possible to achieve a high tightening torque or where loss protection in the form of a centring lip is desired.
This kind of metallic seal is predominantly used to seal flange or screw joints against excess pressure. The most frequent areas of application for these components include the automotive sector, as well as pneumatic systems, mechanical and plant engineering, pressure vessel construction and household technology.
